Confessions From The Edge...My thoughts about A certain button pusher situation

I have to admit that it has been extremely hurtful over and over again when someone who admits that she loves pushing buttons..just keeps posting and posting and won't quit stirring the pot.  She started this whole thing with her very mean and hurtful blog post.....(after I became a featured Zibbeter). (And I have told several people since then that I honestly  wish I had never even been the featured seller because it would have never prompted her to post that jealous (or whatever it was) tirade and rage about me and her assumptions and speculations about me ) .......I had no idea this bischhhhh had any problems with me and she didn't even know me but she really sounded  like she had smoke coming out of her ears when she was talking about me and then she ranted and raved about Zibbet and about how she wouldn't give a site one red cent of her money yada yada...she was badmouthing me and also badmouthing the Zibbet administrators because they didn't handle the "situation" the way she wanted them to.....and why didn't they?  Hello! Maybe she might wake up and realize one of these days that There wasn't a situation!!!!....she was just trying to create one for some unknown reason (I guess I could post that original rant of hers here that she has of course since deleted  but she just might own the copyright on it a-ha :(   )..but if this ever gets to court---the truth will in fact show that she was indeed the original instigator (for reasons unknown to me) of this entire situation.....So I have to admit I was mad that this total stranger PUBLICLY  made such false assumptions about me...but I was also mad as HELL! that she was ragging on the Zibbet Admins in her post.....At that point I was seriously asking myself "Just who does she think she is that she thinks she can tell everyone how to run everything?" ...Yes I was indeed thinking things like "Open up your own venue bischhh and then you can run everything the way you think the Zibbet admins should be doing! " So then I replied to the post she originally made about me .... AND then....it became a she said I said she said I said...and on and on situation.....she always seems to conveniently forget that I am simply replying to what she has said or inferred about me (And the funny thing is..she makes attempts to get me kicked off or out of places and THEN gets really mad when it doesn't happen and then she posts more chit about me because she wasn't able to get me 86'd for something I obviously didn't do)....I of course copy all of it..everything I know she has said and also my replies that I have made on every sight that I post on and yes I admit that just like she herself has deleted many things....I also have deleted but saved all of the replies I have made about her that have actually been  made after her posts about me.....one weird thing tho...she stated in a forum that I removed some posts after she said something about me somewhere...and I have not searched high and low but I never found and no one else ever told me about this "mysterious" posting that she referred to ? :(  Anyhooo....I have said a few times before that I am not going to keep letting her negativity affect me any more ...and then she goes and says something else (pushes those buttons) and of course I end up saying something back about what she has said. And it's not like we were ever friends, or have any friends in common that I know of.  And I just am at the point where I am tired of letting her push those buttons and waste any more of my time.  She can say all she wants and pretend she is some sort a victim in her own little circle....because there are indeed 2 sides to every story and people in my world have seen the stuff that she has posted about me  :(....And there is indeed such a thing known as a timeline......which in fact show that my replies are to her statements that were made 1st :)And the website tracker will also show that someone from her town has definitely been on my site (the last I looked at the records) more than I have been on hers...imagine that LOL!.......And I have to admit for example that after she made a certain rant about how I don't act my age and ranting about my use of emoticons (That I never had on my blog) I definitely downloaded them after that because I knew that for some "hidden" reason...the emoticons that I previously didn't have were somehow pissing her off before I even had them....LOL but sad..that I put something on there just to piss her off because she said I had them...and the timeline will again prove this :(....So I guess she has indeed proved that she is a much better button pusher than I am... and I guess I am going to have to say that she won that one...I won't be a sore loser tho.......hee-hee.....and I am just gonna say again that it is still extremely hurtful when someone starts a situation and keeps stirring the pot and pushing buttons and laughs about it.....and then claims to be some sort of victim and keeps trying to twist the story around when things don't quite go the way she wants them to. )...but the fact that I am a button addict....might be what kept me noticing and replying to what this button pusher kept doing to me :(

I solemnly pledge to keep living life on the edge  :)  !!!

Update Update 4/25.....The Rest of the story! A Big Can Of Worms on About.WHAT?????

 Okay....so this morning I find out what  really happened with this situation and I wanted to post the update at the top of the page.  Now that I know the truth of this matter...I once again feel confident about voting on this venue and sharing the wonderful articles that are all over that site :)  So it turns out that DIYnever contacted the loser about their concerns that someone was abusing the voting system ...but it was in fact the loser who messaged DIY about her concerns that someone had taken advantage of the voting system to make her lose....and DIY responded that they don't have any way of controlling how it works so long story short....DIY did not contact her about the voting...but only responded to the losers' suspicions about the voting (after she contacted them!) :(...... So once you know the rest of the story it is quite a different story indeed.........but I am really glad that what the loser insinuated is in fact not what really went down.........anyhoo  here is my original post on this matter but knowing the truth now anwers all of my questions about why would DIY do something like that?  Answer.....they didn't

It was brought to my attention yesterday that a recent loser in a "shop showdown" posted a statement on their FB page.....stating that someone from About.com messaged them and told them that

quote"...they felt someone or a group of people were abusing the voting system. They felt badly because they cannot control the voting mechanism as it is set up by About.com and have to rely on the honesty and integrity of their readers, but that obviously there was a lapse of judgment going on here..."


Seriously???  :( :( :(  hmnzzzz.....here are some of my thoughts on this matter.......

#1........If the voting system on About.com can in fact "be abused"......why would anyone ever bother voting for anything there from now on?  What a waste of time .....especially if they are in fact messaging someone that they "feel badly that they can not "control" the voting mechanism"   Wow! Just wow! I think most people would feel badly if voting mechanisms are somehow controlled .....
#2.......If the voting system could indeed be manipulated...wouldn't the loser in fact have also had  this same type of so called "manipulation" available to them?
#3.......If I were the winner of this shop show down I would be a bit upset that someone from the sight is messaging the loser and saying that " obviously there was a lapse of judgment going on here"..........
#4........If in fact an employee of this company is messaging these types of comments and having them publicly posted on FaceBook...(and basically in my opinion  seemingly "bad-mouthing" the integrity of their own venue by questioning the integrity of their readers)......why should anyone really spend much time reading what is written there?

I myself recently found the venue and have been enjoying a lot of the articles and telling people about the sight..but after hearing about this...I have to say that I am now going back and deleting the posts that I made linking to this venue.
I am still very very proud of the wonderful shops and people  I personally know of that have been mentioned in features on this venue.....but if one of their employees actually told someone that there was quote "a lapse of judgement"... why would they even have a show-down and tell the competitors to have all of their friends vote in the 1st place?  Why not just pick your own winner instead of posting the results of the voting and then later having the loser post on Facebook that someone from About.com told them they felt badly that they quote..... "couldn't control the voting mechanism"?????
Now that's just about the biggest can of worms that I have seen in AWHILE :( :( :(   wOw WoW just WOW!.......hmnnnnnn???????

Kudos to Etsy For The reseller Crackdown

I have to say that I am quite pleased with Etsy for stepping up to the plate and making some added attempts to crack down on all of the reseller items on the site.

However....one of the tales in the article from an Etsy seller who is not a reseller does tell us that they have not yet perfected their method of operation in the "crackdown"....but it now seems evident that they will be doing more to prevent the blatant misuse of  the"hand made" description.....http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052702304299304577349731690704306.html?mod=WSJ_article_comments#articleTabs%3Darticle I have said it before and I'll say it again.... If they truly want to keep profiting from all of the listings and sales (that these sellers bring in)..they could easily make them simply list the items in "supplies" instead of "handmade".
I would have no problem seeing an item like this in the "supply" category....instead of in the "handmade" section where I found it on the first page of "pocket watch" search today

Of course I could go on and on.....this is just one small "Area" where there are tons of reseller items being listed in the "hand made" category.
I realize that many of these shops simply keep re-opening under different names as well....but it does seem like Etsy is finally stepping up their policing program to help prevent some of this from happening:)
Kudos.....this is going to be one tough job........it still amazes me how many of these "not even remotely hand made items" have shown up in the front page treasuries :(  but the article in the WSJ makes it seem like they are finally putting more effort into keeping "hand made" real.

Gotta hand it to my boy Ben.....he is dead on with this one LOL!

Some people go back and try to justify and re-invent what they did.....

others just admit the wrong-doing.....

Myself...I go by what grams taught me...

"Screw me once shame on you...screw me twice...shame on me"

People who leave others behind and talk behind their back then end up talking behind the back of the one they left the other one for???? hmnnnn......that is some seriously shady chit there LOL :)

BUT of course..

age brings experience and those who are older than us

have a lot more experience on how to make more excuses

and re-invent the moment HEE-HEE....

And of course the truth is still there

and they know it.......

but they somehow let themselves get

slim shady sideways once again

and again

they

get lost in re-creating the moment...

I just wish they would embrace..the

truth

all that they leave behind and later

go back to and talk behind their backs 

when they leave them

but forget about that when they are back

is there really any excuse for "backstabbing"  anyone? Site ...person...venue?

Maybe the free spirited ones are okay with

flitting about here and there and

forgetting about what they said and did

only "embracing" where they are at the moment?

I just have never been like that....

and confess....it would take up too much of my spare

time to keep

And yes anyone can be forgiven and

1776 Patriotic Recycled Red White and Blue Vintage Button Earrings

Those of you who know me already know that among other things.... I admittedly  have a "thing" about buttons....they are kind of like my "imaginary child-hood friend" except my buttons are always there for me even when my imagination isn't   LOL!

I wanted to share these earrings that I made yesterday from some really cool vintage buttons that I recently purchased.  Let freedom ring, and let your earrings dangle..... these are definitely "Team U.S.A" :)
