Red Hoops And Loops Recycled Necklace ...Disco Fever in the House :)

This is my lastest listing on Zibbet..made me wanna throw down a few disco moves lol!

Handmade recycled 80s inspired dangler necklace from Spanky Luvs Vintage.

I dismantled some 80s red metal hoop earrings then placed them on some split rings and added 4 small glass wire wapped beads. I placed this on a vintage chain and the clasp is marked "sterling".
The chain is 18" and the pendant is 5" tall.

Easter Cupcakes For The Kids

I just finished these and had a lot of fun making them as I know the kids tomorrow will smile a time or 2!
The Chocolate Banana cupcake recipe is wonderful and soooo easy !

              We have been going to this tournament for several years now and it is always a good time.

With my fybromyalgia and arthritis, it takes quite a toll on my body to do this camping experience at Isabella with all of the walking up and down hills and climbing around the rocks, but it seems like every year I still find myself there :) The majority of people fish off of the shore line and we don't take the boat--the wind at Lake Isabella is always lurking and it's just easier to fish from the bank. So this year the wind was no exception. It came up early Sunday and we ended up leaving early as the fishing still hadn't picked up. We saw one kid in our area who caught a $100 fish, and very few people were catching anything. We caught two Saturday evening and I felt like we got skunked until we got home and our next door neighbor told us that he and his group hadn't caught any fish nor did they see any one catching anything. (They always stay on the other side of the lake.) The tournament doesn't end until 6 o'clock this evening,,,,so hopefully today those tagged trout are biting for some lucky angler who is still up there :)

I wired wrapped some colorful glass beads from the Czech Republic to a filigree and then added a bunch of these same colorful bead danglers to the piece. I then placed it on a recycled gold tone chain. The chain is 22" long and the focal piece is 3" diameter.

I used a small metal bird bead and wire wrapped a blue glass flower on him. Then I placed him inside of a bird cage pendant and tied the door with a bow. It is placed on a recycled 28" gold tone chain. The pendant is 2" tall.

Yes I dreamed about green before I started this piece :)! I used vintage hankies,vintage ribbon,vintage buttons,a vintage double dangler pin (that I added one new cameo to),a vintage filigree,vintage beads and cabechons,some handmade fabric flowers,a fabric rosette, and a splash of new beads. Then I placed it on a recycled vintage gold tone chain. The chain is 18" and the focal is 6 1/2" wide by 6 1/2" tall.

Okay all I can say about this is what I feel....
My question is this...why does it always get down to the 'last day'  before everything just starts "shutting" down?
What I would expect are answers every day and I would think that the majority of Americans feel this way...
our "leaders" should have this all figured out WAAAY before the "last" minute----
For example .......thinking as simply a layman...
in a real business world...if a situation actually really got this bad--the entire CREW would be FIRED SENT HOME and REPLACED with a crew who could actually do their JOB--
I would suggest....
stop all the "lobbying" for big business...stop all the fake crap that has nothing to do with the good of the American people as a nation...nip it in the bud----
AND----
If you all can't do what is right for our country and preserve the "American dream" for our children and grandchildren....
then I say drag your sorry arses back home...quit your day job..and let someone else who is not influenced by the lobbyists and big business and whoever else is padding your pocket---do your job that you haven't been doing...

I am soooo sick of a government that "works" if the wheels are greased and concessions are made..

If they can't come to a real deal "path" that benefits our country----we should make a new ammendment to the constitution---

Okay I am not really sure of the "original" person who generated this e-mail that was forwarded to me today but I am glad "Betty" started it and

it really made me stop and think about how much a big impact that it would be if all Americans only did a small bit of "concentrated and selective buying" and how that it would truly stimulate our economy here when it finally trickles down to American workers "working" and "buying" more things ....here is the e-mail...(yes it talks about a boy-cott that "expired" a few days ago but the idea is to keep passing it on yes?...

Did you all see that Diane Sawyer has a special report coming up this week on this very subject. They removed ALL items from a typical, middleclass family’s home, that were not made in the USA. There was hardly anything left besides the kitchen sink. Literally. During the special they are going to show truckloads of items – USA made – being brought in to replace everything. And will be talking about how to find these items and the difference in price etc.


It was interesting that Diane said that if every American spent just $64 (more than normal) on USA made items this year, it would create something like 200,000 new jobs.

FOR EXAMPLE THE "OUR FAMILY" BRAND OF THE MANDARIN ORANGES SAYS RIGHT ON THE CAN 'FROM CHINA'.


I WAS SHOCKED!! SO FOR A FEW MORE CENTS I BOUGHT THE LIBERTY GOLD BRAND OR THE DOLE SINCE IT'S FROM CALIF.


TAKES FOREVER JUST TO BUY FOOD AND DO LABEL READING !


Are we Americans as dumb as we appear --- or --- is it that we just do not think? While the Chinese, knowingly and intentionally, export inferior and even toxic products and dangerous toys and goods to be sold in American markets.


Yet 70% of Americans believe that the trading privileges afforded to the Chinese should be suspended.


Well, duh..why do you need the government to suspend trading privileges?


SIMPLY DO IT YOURSELF, AMERICA!!


Simply look on the bottom of every product you buy, and if it says 'Made in China ' or 'PRC' (and that now includes Hong Kong), simply choose another product, or none at all. You will be amazed at how dependent you are on Chinese products, and you will be equally amazed at what you can do without.


Who needs plastic eggs to celebrate Easter? If you must have eggs, use real ones and benefit some American farmer. Easter is just an example, the point is do not wait for the government to act. Just go ahead and assume control on your own.


THINK ABOUT THIS: If 200 million Americans refuse to buy just $20 each of Chinese goods, that's a billion dollar trade imbalance resolved in our favor...fast!


The downside? Some American businesses will feel a temporary pinch from having foreign stockpiles of inventory. Wahhhhhhhhhhhh!!!


The solution? Let's give them fair warning and send our own message. Most of the people who have been reading about this matter are planning on implementing this on March. 4th and continue it until April. 4th That is only one month of trading losses, but it will hit the Chinese for 1/12th of the total, or 8%, of their American exports. Then they will at least have to ask themselves if the benefits of their arrogance and lawlessness were worth it.


Remember, March. 4th to April. 4th---and don’t stop there!

START NOW.


Send this to everybody you know. Let's show them that we are Americans and NOBODY can take us for granted.


If we can't live without cheap Chinese goods for one month out of our lives, WE DESERVE WHAT WE GET!
