(I have won "bicentennial debates"...I was class Pres. student body Pres etc. etc. and have participated in the debating of the political process a time or two in my lifetime....)
I am now plus 50.....and let me tell ya what really yanks my yanker......
I hate it when Dems Vs. Repubs....call each other retarded because they didn't vote right etc.etc.---
in my opinion ya'll are very smart to just keep voting and trying to get your voice and opinions out there...
I also feel that at this point in my life that the "lobbyists" actually OWN whatever candidate is in office and the pocket padding often determines and sways their vote....
if I have to be politically "Honest" I will admit that I was on the "Ross Perot" bandwagon back in the day....and I did vote for Reagan even tho I was a registered Democrat.....
so I just think that Americans do indeed vote what their "heart" tells them to do....
I just wish we could all get on the "American" bandwagon.....get the lobbyists out of D.C.----
make the house and the senate work together or fire all of their arses....
and carry on...
like any best dad gum country in the world would do in this type of situation....
Americans want America to be great
and we shouldn't have Americans against Americans in any election.....
we should all be on the same page....
we should all be together trying to do what is best for our country and at the same time debating our differences...
not hating each other because we are either at this point in time a "Democrat" or a "Republican"...helllzzz bells...many Americans will vote out of their "affiliation" at any given point and time......
you are smart....to keep voting no matter what the outcome
don't ever give up faith that your one vote will indeed make a difference.....
because it does.........
it really does make a difference......
but at the same time......
don't hate those who don't believe the way you do.....hatred will not lead them into believing what you feel is right.....intelligence in the issue at hand will lead them into your world...

Many,many years ago my then husband and I 'forgot' to vote in a school budget election. We would have voted for it, after all I was a teacher. It didn't pass by two votes. Lesson learned!
