Something Old Something Blue With A Wee Bit Of Glam Set of four Bridesmaids Bracelets

Something Old Something Blue With A Wee Bit Of Glam Set of four Bridesmaids Bracelets

Description

For the Zibbet Wedding Challenge...I decided to add a wee bit of glitter for the bridesmaids :)
To quote from this fun challenge...
" The young bride-to-be wishes for an outdoor woodsy wedding. She loves trees, rocks, shells, and all things natural. She is a nature girl. She tells the wedding planner she doesn't like frivolous and glittery things. She likes simplicity. She cares about the earth and wants all things reusable or recyclable at her wedding."
Oh what a wonderful wedding this will be :)
So for the bridesmaids bracelets...I started with some vintage shell bracelets from my stash of "Momma Jo's Jewelry". Then I attached the peacock feathers and 80s blue rhinestone earrings to a pair of old vintage buttons. I made the other charms from vintage shells, vintage creamy plastic beads, vintage lucite shell beads, and some new flower and seed bead components.
The bracelets are 8" long. (I currently have enough materials to make one more of these bracelets if you happen to have 5 bridesmaids.) The price listed is for the set of 4.
Thanks for looking and don't forget to check out all of the wonderful entries in the Zibbet wedding Challenge :)

Fantastic Five: A Very Merry Vintage Holiday

Some vintage items date back to when they were made at nearby factories and home cottage industries, when careful attention was paid to details and quality.
Sure you can go out and buy new things, but recycling items from the past that have been previously cherished is one of my favorite ways to shop and Zibbet has a fantastic variety of vintage holiday items.
You’ll find a great selection of vintage holiday jewelry, collectibles, clothingvintage toys and vintage Christmas items on Zibbet. After reading about today’s Fantastic Five, please use the share tools to help more holiday shoppers discover all the wonderful treasures on Zibbet.
1. Christmas Poinsettia Vintage Hostess Half Apron by By The Way $12.50: Start off your Vintage Christmas with this heavy cotton fabric apron. You’ll be a festive looking hostess decked in red and white poinsettias with earthy pine cones. Love the nice wide waistband and the double pocket.
2. Eisenberg Christmas Sleigh Vintage Brooch Signed by Artemis53 $25: Never been worn, this vintage pin is in flawless condition. It is unusual to find such a wonderful piece of jewelry to wear to that office party or any Christmas holiday event. You are sure to get many complements on this stunning pin. Need a dress to wear? Visit Artemis53 to find a bountiful selection.
3. Vintage Shiny Brite Box of 5 Glass Tree Ornaments by Modern Day Vintage $8: The sight of this box brought back memories of the 50s. I recall these Shiny Brite boxes of glass ornaments stacked near the Christmas tree as my father pointed out spaces on the tree that needed a certain color ball added. Almost 200 wonderful vintage items in this shop. Shiny Brite began in 1940s and were produced in the 40s and 50s.
4. Vintage Santa Figurines, Spelling NOEL, 1950 by Echo Art and Vintage $27: You gotta love this set of 4 vintage Santa Claus figurines spelling out NOEL. What a wonderful antique set this is dating back farther than I can guess, as you will see by the “Japan” mark on the bottom of each one. Echo Art and Vintage is stocked with gifts for the vintage lover on your list.
5. Hallmark 1977 Plastic Christmas Vintage Pins by Spanky Luvs Vintage 2 $5: Last but not least, more delightful memories for me as my mother worked in a Hallmark store for many years. I can picture her wearing these collectible Hallmark holiday pins. Always made in limited editions, these two pins would look so cute worn together or keep one and give the other to your daughter or best friend. Over 1,200 items to buy at Spanky Luvs Vintage.

Enjoying The Nice Warm Bako Weather While Stumbling Upon The Fall Finds On Zibbet

So the weather here in Bakersfield is still in the 80's and I'm not quite feeling the Fall yet but enjoying the heck out of this still awesome warm weather and wondering if I will be wearing shorts on Halloween :)  Seriously tho with my arthritis I have to say I function a lot better in the warm weather...my bones are just tons "happier".
I bought a tanning bed on eBay a few years ago and in the winter instead of curling up with a hot cup of cocoa I tend to curl up in the tanning bed.  (Yes I tend to be lots tanner in the winter than the summer LOL!)  And I know those UV rays aren't doing me any good but the warmth that creeps way down into my bones and really relaxes me makes it all worth it :) Nonetheless I still love the Fall and hope we don't go from warm weather straight into the wintery cold stuff.
Here are some pics I took in my little garden this morning...my Morning Glories are still thriving all over the place and I even  have a few Hollyhocks still in bloom------

So of course I am still feeling rather "Summery" instead of "Fallery"...but then I got to work and we have this guy called "Jimeny Pumpkin Patch" out in our parking lot with butt-loads of pumpkins and hay all over the place so I suddenly got blasted into the "Fall Mood" Hee-hee-----anyways ---I want to share some of the great Fall Finds I found on Zibbet today....

If you haven't checked out the Zibbet sight....you should mosey on over sometime-----or take a hay ride or something :)
Or be like me some days and just creep on over---- but hey! What better time to be CREEPY than it's almost Halloween? :)
Hope your October has been Fallistically fantastic so far!
