Some would find it rather ironic that I still have friends at Zibbet. I have been rather vocal after all :D The fact is that there are a lot of people out there who have many of the same thoughts and feelings that are being vocalized but they have remained silent because they do not want to have a possible negative effect to their on line shops.
I get that and I also respect that.
I guess I would have to say to some of the people there who think "Why don't they simply leave if they don't like it and stop peeing in our Cheerios?" I find the answer is ----That many of the people vocalizing their discontent probably still have the feeling that they got their lunch pail crapped in and are trying to rid themselves of the baggage. There are always 3 sides to every story and muting people in one place simply means they will take it somewhere else to talk about it. A lot of issues could have very well been squashed in "Chit chat"...but we know that didn't happen :D
Quite interesting when Zibbet chimed in on Twitter and said that they had picked up some haters along the way because they are such a successful business. What they still fail to comprehend is that a huge group of those so called "haters" actually were once very fond of the venue and extremely supportive.
So my leetle cartoon postcard from the edge parody below....I actually thought twice before posting it on the blog. Is the image in poor taste? Absolutely. But that is the whole point of the matter. (For those of you who may have missed it). There is a group of people in those forums who obviously condone any and everything the CEO's do. They obviously think it is perfectly okay for the Zibbet management to put up a cartoon and make fun of an entire group of people on their business black board. So me putting up a cartoon on my blog board should not be any different than the actions they are condoning. Although I would have to say that I poked fun at a very small group of handmaidens within that small Community Hub. But the fine folks at Zibbet Management chose to poke fun at an entire race of Aborigine people.
Yep some would say "My baaad" but the overall bigger picture that some of ya'll in that Hub seem to conveniently overlook time and time again............................
the BAD actions and reactions of your CEO's there.
Now say what you want about Rob Kalin the founder of Etsy.... but the bottom line is that he managed to build up the venue from within his community. That's where it all started.
Zibbet on the other hand manages to collapse the site from within the community. They have attempted to build on a premise of false promises and deception and that does not make for a good foundation. Then when they promote and condone the type of behavior from the "Hidey Holes" and the handmaidens running the forum....what of course has happened? Their soap box is shrinking.
I saw a quote once that said something like "It’s nice to be the biggest fish around, and an easy way of doing this is to shrink the size of your pond. "
And it has been quite amusing to see as one person leaves the Community the next person step up to the Ram Rod plate and start getting bolder and pushier and bossier as the days go by.
But here's the thing that some of ya'll there should really be concentrating on.
The real problem with the Zibbet failure is not the people out here voicing discontent with their Zibbet experiences.
The huge problem is the SILENCE folks.
The lack of interest or support. In essence the very thing ya'll are gonna need if you ever expect for the venue to grow and be successful.
Click on all of the shops that are Empty, on vacation, or have simply been abandoned. There's your real problem Handmaidens.....nope it's not the one's you call "bad-humans and haters"....it's the ones who simply don't care.
The huge amount of people who have been there done that and have simply filed "Zibbet" into their box of "Meh" and have moved on to never return.
You can promote until your little finger tips are blue and blistered but the fact is that seeing huge "bot" views from Twitter will hardly sprout into butt-loads of sales. The only way for the venue to ever be successful is for it to grow from within the community..... and at this point some of you ram rods (and Ram Rods in training) are still doing a great job at splitting what's left of that community completely apart.

#Zibbet #Aborigine # Prejudice is alive and well @Hackerlabs or so it seems
Yes sometimes I can get a bit angry spice but these days if I don't speak about what I am feeling when I am feeling it.... I may never stop to write about it at all.
I made a post below about the "Blackboard" at Hackerlabs that also happens to be the Zibbet headquarters. I was and still am simply amazingly appalled and shocked at the same time at what appears to be an aborigine at the bottom of the blackboard being used as a golf tee or hole. I mean if this isn't a WTF were they thinking? moment for the Zibbet difference I really don't know what could top this one.
No I have never been to Australia but have read certain things about how Australia has also had a very racist past in which apartheid has been practiced and where indigenous Aboriginal people have lost almost all their land and suffered many prejudices.
And this is the thing....
even if there is some sort of innocent reason or excuse behind the image on their black board....
out of all of the people in that group in that office/lab.....
wouldn't you think that at least one of them might have the sense to think
"Hey someone might look at this and find it offensive?"
Whatever their excuse for doing something like this... I really think that for anyone considering spending money on a Premium account at Zibbet or renewing their old premium
account....you would have to realize that this is a prime example of the ways they repeatedly show/prove their lack of maturity and business sense.
They really appear to be a rather giggly laughing little group of boys who haven't a clue about how to run a business and keep customers happy.
Seems like they are too busy starting more start-ups and using money from the former ventures to pay for their new ones.
At the same time not delivering on promises in which they took money from people who gave it to them in good faith and yet so far so many of those promises have not been delivered.
Not at all.
Some might equate these kind of tactics to pyramid/ponzi schemes and of course..with a Ceo who profited from the Dinars to Dollars scam.... people would guess that he is pretty learned in this sort of thing.
And surely some of ya'll in Zibbet land must be wondering why the person Jono said was hired as a full time Zibbet site tech is now calling himself CEO at Beaconater..(which of course is part of Zibbet/hackerlabs but doesn't look like Beaconator does much in the way of designing the new Zibbet Rebuild :D)
What about the Poker start up sight that Zibbet is sponsoring? Gosh wouldn't it be nice if they could sponsor a "craft sales" start up or some kind of something that actually might benefit Zibbet sellers?
Well of course Jono and Andy have insisted that not a penny has been taken by them from the Zibbet venue....
goodness gracious they have always insisted that they are just so busy working full time night and day to make this the quote "Premier site for HAVS"...
right?
yah right.
I'd wager to bet that they haven't worked up much of a sweat on anything about Zibbet (other than monitoring members social media posts.) And Andy might have worked up a bit of a sweat waving that so called "Red Rag" a time or 2. :D

There have been some reports where sellers have seen what they believe is their automatic renewal coming out of Pay Pal a month early. We kind of figure that the "free month trial" probably wasn't free once you signed on as a Premie....
in other words....you did/are not getting 13 months for your money.
Another Zibbet glitch? Will be interesting to see how they spin this one folks. Maybe they can just blame it on Pay Pal.
Seems like if the hustlers and hackers would work just a teeny tiny bit more on Zibbet......
better things would perhaps be on the horizon of those there still working so hard to peddle their wares.
This obviously is not part of Andy or Jono's plan however.

Summer doins' Morning Glories and let's have a tea party
Took some pics a few days ago out in my little garden....
it is so dadgum hot here this time of year I am surprised that so many of them are still thriving. Note to self--- Imagine what a bit of water can do ? :=)
The 4th was pretty loud as usual. This year Chloe was a bit frightened of the fire works and kept "ducking" when she would hear the big ones going off.
Sister Lexie was however up close and "at one" with the display of noise and lights :=)
Yesterday finished painting a few more pieces including this little end table.
After that we were off to the Antique Mall to take a few pieces and do a bit of tidying up. Chloe is the best little helper and makes everything so much more fun :)

But I really think that I need to share what I feel about this.
I have spoken out a lot of my feelings but dayum cookie....
the feelings about "Political correctness and all"....
kind of just look and avert my eyes.
I said something about this on a post below and am now gonna talk about it.
Why?
Because I believe that the beliefs and "actions" of those you choose or somehow "Allow" to represent your business interests.. is important.
And keeping quiet about it is not the thing to do when I have been talking about the venue and what has been happening.

The #Zibbet Hackers and Hustlers and Beaconmakers whilst in the middle of a Beta Rebuild/relaunch
I thought it might be a good update to say that word on the street is that Zibbet "Says" it has finally went into Beta testing with the relaunch/rebuild that has been promised for years.
Reports have it that there are 4-5 sellers and ones who have tried for years to sell something there -- doing the Beta testing.
Bottom line so far looks like less than 5 people "reporting in" on the "testing"
And kind of WTH moment for most out here in cyberspace who still care to look.
A site that Jonathan has stated this.....
In his last year of uni, he launched and sold an ecommerce site, which had gross revenue of $0.5M in it\'s first year.
He has also founded Zibbet, an online marketplace with over 40,000 members, and counting.
According to Jono

But yah

On the left is Pavel. As mentioned he first joined the team part-time and is now fulltime! He's a senior Ruby on Rails engineer and specializes in the 'back-end' work. Essentially the stuff that you don't see, but that makes it all work.
In between Andrew and I is John. John is also a senior Ruby on Rails engineer and specializes in the 'front-end' work. This is the visual interactions that you see on a website.
Both of these guys are extremely talented and we're so lucky to have them on the Zibbet team!!

#Zibbet where free speech is allowed only if you obey the like mindedness
The Twitter anti-Zibbet blasts last night certainly got the Ceo's britches bunched. And it ended up with yet another unethical petty little rant in the Community Hub with the Ceo publicly naming recently banished Community members and bashing talk trashing them in a manner that has been witnessed before. Why not just talk privately in the little huddles over there about those outcast members? We've known them to be quite accomplished at that talent. Well it is just a certain matter of inexperience and perhaps inability to handle a "Boss" position that keeps them doing these silly little boy things over and over.
Many who have been warning sellers to make sure you also go to Pay Pal and cancel your auto-renew have gotten the message out quite successfully. Others have recently been suggesting that when you close your Zibbet shop you should first and foremost go back in and change all of your "personal" information that you have provided these two with. (Banking info, credit card #,name, phone number, street address etc.) Who knows what type of unethical things could happen if this information is in the hands of "certain business" people who do things like public name calling and member bashing? Someone who ran a Dinars to Dollars scam certainly could have learned his lesson and saw the light by now. But leaving any type of personal information in the hands of one who has exhibited this type of behavior might at this point be a not so wise thing to do.
Gheez... is it any wonder some are calling the BoyZZZ at HackerLabs "Talkin' Smack-er Labs"?
And for those in the Hub who may have their eyes burning at this point because the conversation reeks of so much bull shit....might be comforted with being told
"Oh gosh don't worry that's simply a new fabulous scent that Forum Correctness Sheriff Sweet and Shitty N0. 666 is wearing!"
