Finished A couple of recycled furniture pieces today

I often forget to take the before pics of pieces I have been re-doing lately.
Here's an old end table that I started on yesterday and suddenly remembered to get the "before" pic

It was actually in a little better shape than this when we found it a couple months ago...but was one of the pieces that got hit in the heavy rains we had awhile back... I felt kind of sorry for how drab this old thing was looking... and decided to get a bit funky with some color...
I think if furniture could talk this one might tell me it is happier today than it was yesterday :)

I finished up this 4 drawer chest today. Spotted it at a thrift store awhile back and some of the drawers were wonky...and the finish was really banged up---- I really loved the curved front
I put on a couple of coats of white wash chalk paint and then waxed it with some ebony stain added to the wax. Brownie my constant side kick weiner-meister boy...ended up with a little streak of white wash paint on his side as well.
hubby made some new drawer runners and got it functioning
when I was decoupaging the drawers he kept giving me that "look" and I could tell he wasn't quite seeing what I was seeing.
But when he got home from work yesterday after I had done the sanding and all---he said that it looked way different than he thought it was going to look the night before. :D
I really like how this piece turned out.

I finished a couple more pieces but will post some pics later.
Hope ya'll had a happy hump day!

I recently acquired this fab bright vintage fabric that still had the old "JC Penney Remnant" tag attached. I took a piece of this fun fruity fabric and added a piece of vintage muslin to the back side. And old red vintage button and a new plastic pie charm with a cherry on top are the focals. I finished it off with some red button hole embroidery.
The cuff is 2" by 7" and slightly adjustable.

A while back one of my favorite vintage metal bracelets broke...I was going to solder it and see if I could mend it without ruining the enamel surface but decided to make a new bracelet out of the broken piece instead. So I ended up having the other broken piece of the bracelet to make something else out of :)
I decoupaged some bright orange polka dot paper to an old vintage boho cuff bracelet. Then I added the orange green and yellow enameled piece from the broke bracelet as well as two old vintage green faceted plastic earrings and also a bit of vintage gold tone chain.
The bracelet is 1 " wide by 7" and is slightly adjustable.
I added some clear polyurethane to the surface but you will still not want to immerse this piece in water.

Talk To The Hand vintage glove Pillow

I saw a pillow like this one on Pinterest awhile back and knew at that time that I had to make one of them for myself. :) Since I was putting it on my sofa..I used some left over fabric I had from my drapes. I added a cream colored vintage glove and also a couple of vintage buttons for a "ring".  Super simple and I think they are pretty cute.

This one of a kind decoupage cuff bracelet was made with an original 1958 American Bank Note for the Maine Central Railroad Company. This is not a copy but the original ephemera piece. I placed it on top of an original vintage map...depicting Maine and Maryland. Then I added some red vintage rick rack to trim the bracelet. It is a 2" adjustable metal cuff.
On the inside of the cuff I placed a copy of an old "Sears Roebuck "magazine and a signed heart from me....:)
I love to use original vintage pieces on my decoupage cuff bracelets....
They are truly one of a kind pieces and can not be duplicated unless someone else out there has the exact same vintage pieces <3 br="br">Thanks for looking!

My Grand baby keeps creating more supplies for me LOL!

I'm sharing one of the things I listed on Zibbet tonight.....my grand baby Chloe loves playing ,exploring, and jacking up Gamma's jewelry LOL!...She has given me a lot more "supplies" lately..because her grip and "yanks" are getting stronger....hee-hee...anyways....I love sharing my jewelry with her ..and get such a kick out of her being "fascinated"  with it....of course  I also enjoy sharing it with everyone else hee-hee :).... here is something I made today out of something she broke on Mother's Day .....

Pink Shell MOP Recycled Vintage Handmade Necklace

Description

On Mother's Day I wore one of my favorite pink vintage necklaces. It had several of these "Made in the Philippines " mop black cream and pink shell pieces mixed with pink and white and black shells. So my Grand baby Chloe gave it a nice little yankeroo and pieces were falling all over the place. LOL! I told her "No worries! Gamma can make a lot of new things out of this now" And she is only a little over a year old so I am sure she understood exactly what I was talking about ♥ ♥
So I combined some 80s pink and gold plastic beads with a few of the shells to create the 5" wide focal. I added it to a 15" copper length chain. I'm also gonna include a pic of "Chloe" here because if it weren't for her exploring many of my old jewelry pieces....I wouldn't have the chance to have so many supplies to recreate new things :)

Thanks for visiting my shop!
