This decoupage cuff bracelet is a one of a kind piece made using paper, ribbon, fabric flower pieces,a vintage rhinestone button and a piece of original ephemera from an antique music book. I love to mix black and white prints.

The piece of ephemera that I cut out from an antique music book is a refrain from a song about looking on the bright side. It says...
" Our sky may be dark, and our path may be drear,
Yet hope, like an angel of mercy, is near,
And softly she whispers, as onward we glide----
'The sun is still shining--- look on the bright side. '"
So naturally I thought that a flower should be the focal on top of the bracelet :=)
The old vintage rhinestone and black plastic button still shines brightly in the center of the flower.

The cuff is 2" wide and is finished with a few coats of polycrylic but you will still not want to immerse this in water.

A while back one of my favorite vintage metal bracelets broke...I was going to solder it and see if I could mend it without ruining the enamel surface but decided to make a new bracelet out of the broken piece instead. So I ended up having the other broken piece of the bracelet to make something else out of :)
I decoupaged some bright orange polka dot paper to an old vintage boho cuff bracelet. Then I added the orange green and yellow enameled piece from the broke bracelet as well as two old vintage green faceted plastic earrings and also a bit of vintage gold tone chain.
The bracelet is 1 " wide by 7" and is slightly adjustable.
I added some clear polyurethane to the surface but you will still not want to immerse this piece in water.

The surface of this decoupage cuff bracelet was a vintage napkin from a Chinese Restaurant (unused of course LOL!) I thought it would turn into something beautiful when I saved a few of them a long time ago.....but I was really surprised at how nice it looks on this cuff :)
On the inside of the cuff I used gold ink to hand stamp the paper.
The cuff is 3" wide.
Thanks for visiting my shop!

This one of a kind decoupage cuff bracelet was made with an original 1958 American Bank Note for the Maine Central Railroad Company. This is not a copy but the original ephemera piece. I placed it on top of an original vintage map...depicting Maine and Maryland. Then I added some red vintage rick rack to trim the bracelet. It is a 2" adjustable metal cuff.
On the inside of the cuff I placed a copy of an old "Sears Roebuck "magazine and a signed heart from me....:)
I love to use original vintage pieces on my decoupage cuff bracelets....
They are truly one of a kind pieces and can not be duplicated unless someone else out there has the exact same vintage pieces <3 br="br">Thanks for looking!

The Boid is The Woid........Decoupage cuff Bracelet Easy Peasy Handmade Jewelry

Description

Several years ago I started using original vintage and antique ephemera advertisements stamps etc. on my decoupage jewelry and collage pieces. I hadn't actually made a piece out of craft paper or tissue paper in awhile :) But the other day I was taking a pic of another piece that I had made and in using the background "bird" paper..I kept looking at it and knew that it needed to be a decoupage cuff bracelet. So here is the little bird in a tree with a brown polka dot background bracelet :) I placed it on a 3" wide adjustable metal blank and I also added a bit of antique gold tone pigment to the surface before adding several layers of polyurethane. You will still not want to submerge this bracelet in water :)
I love decoupage because it is such an easy and forgiving medium to use !
Thanks for taking a peek!
